Hi, my name is “Odunayor Oluwole“, and I’m so glad you’re here. I want to share about how this journey began.
“Blooming Purple” was born out of my personal journey of healing, transformation, and learning to embrace the season of singleness with purpose and joy. I’m not there yet, but every day I’m growing closer to where God is leading me.
Back in 2021, I decided to go on a long and intentional journey of growth. I sensed it would take years, and I was okay with that. But I knew the first place I had to start was within, not with my appearance or outward achievements, but with the deeper matters of my heart: my beliefs, my wounds, and my mindset.
At that time, I was carrying a lot of trauma. My heart was heavy with past pain, unhealthy patterns, and beliefs that didn’t reflect God’s truth. I knew He was calling me to face those things head-on, not to hide from them but to confront them with courage and His Word. That decision changed everything.
Over the years, God used different people, mentors, friends, and teachers to guide, correct, and encourage me. The woman I am today is not the same as the one I was in 2021, and for that, I am deeply grateful.
In 2023, I felt God nudging me to share what I was learning. At first, I resisted. I didn’t feel qualified enough. I wondered if I had anything to offer. But the prompting didn’t stop. God gave me a vision to create something for single women, a space rooted in Proverbs 31, a space for growth, community, and preparation.
So in 2024, I took a bold step. I studied Proverbs 31 deeply, one verse a day for a whole month. The more I studied, the more I realized that Proverbs 31 isn’t about perfection. It’s about character, strength, and becoming the kind of woman God is shaping us to be, whether single, engaged, married, or raising a family.
Each verse became a lesson, each lesson a seed in my heart. I couldn’t keep it to myself any longer. Though I procrastinated for a long time, I finally decided to stop doubting and start walking in faith.
This blog is that step of faith. It’s me sharing my heart, my journey, and the truths God is teaching me with women like you.
I believe singleness is not a waiting room. It is a season full of purpose, growth, and preparation. And I want to help you embrace it fully.
This ministry is not about perfection. It’s about progress. It’s about becoming all God has called us to be from the inside out.
